I had an outdoor spigot that had a stripped thread and instead of retapping it, I figured I would call Milestone and just have them replace it. I contacted and was told there was a $99 service fee to come out, that would be factored into any repair. The tech showed up late and then proceeded to quote me $551 with the $59.95 discount. I thought he misunderstood what I was asking for, but he said it would drop to $488 if I signed up for some membership at $240 a year. I thought he was kidding, but nope - that was his quote. I asked was is typical for the labor on this to be over $500 since the spigot itself was $48 at Home Depot and he assured me it was and \\\"came with a 5-year warranty.\\\" I declined and paid him the $99 for the making the trip to tell me it was $551 to replace. My own fault for calling. I drove up to Home Depot and spend $61 for the spigot, some pipe tape and seal, and some mortar. My wife timed me and it took me 17 minutes to replace. I'm not a licensed plumber, but the quote in my opinion was excessive. I feel bad for people that don't know any better and just pay it. I wasn't going to even post a review, but today they called and wanted to me to answer a survey about the tech and the experience. I have no opinion on the tech, and above is my response to the experience.
